And then there’s this from the Superintendent of the Chester-Upland School District.
COVID – 19 UPDATE
This afternoon the Governor announced that he will be closing all Pennsylvania Schools.
This announcement means schools will close Monday, March 16th, and at this point will re-open Monday, March 30th. Additionally, all spring sports and any school related activities are cancelled until such time as we re-open on Monday, March 30th.
As it turns out, when the government shuts down a district in this manner, in order to have continuity across the county, there is no expectation that instruction continue. Chester Upland School District is going to provide educational skill reinforcement opportunities as available.

Thank You for all of the information you’ve provided for the community and citizens of Chester. It saddens me to no end that the city officials are far less concerned about anything of importance concerning this city. I am not sure of Livia Smith’s qualifications, but I do know she has been a flunking of our ILLUSTRIOUS Mayor for well over 20 years, so such an important position is only befitting for someone so loyal.
